Privacy Policy

for the app “Fingerball” (Android) and the website fingerball.me · last updated: 12 October 2026

In short: Fingerball shows no ads, uses no analytics or advertising services and does not pass game data on to third parties. The app needs no account, no e-mail address and no permissions other than internet access. We only store what the leaderboard, chests and races need – and you can delete all of it at any time.

1. Who is responsible?

Tobias Nöckl Allround-Service, Unterdorfstrasse 14b, 9451 Kriessern, Switzerland
E-mail: developer [at] fingerball [dot] me

2. Which data does the app process?

The app runs entirely on your device. Your progress (completed levels, best times, gems, balls, cards, coins, settings) is stored only there. Only the following information is sent to our server:

InformationPurposeWhen
Random device keyLinks scores, chest timer and runs to your device. It is generated inside the app and contains no device, advertising or phone number. As soon as the app contacts the server (chests, leaderboard, races) and once a minute while the app is open – this produces the “players online” count; this signal is not stored
Name of your choiceShown in the leaderboard and in races. You do not have to use your real name.Only if you enter one
Game results for scoringGem and best time per level, best run in Ultra Hardcore mode, rating from races.Only if you have chosen a name or take part in races
Recorded runsThe path of your ball through a level (positions in the game, not location data). Other players can race against it; your chosen name is visible to them. When you set a new personal best with the Classic ball
Your in-game inventoryCoins, cards, balls, their levels, waiting chests and the time of your last free chest. The server keeps the inventory and rolls the chest contents so that it cannot be forged. When you open chests or the ball list, and at the start and end of a level
Position of your ball during a live raceSo that the other players can see your ball. Not stored.Only during a race

The app does not access contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.

3. Which data does the website process?

3a. Tester list

If you sign up as a tester on the website, we store your e-mail address and the time. We use it solely to invite you to the test on Google Play. To do so we enter it in the tester list of the Google Play Console – Google (Google Ireland Ltd. or Google LLC) therefore receives the address in order to unlock the test for your account. The basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time: an e-mail to the address above is enough, and we will delete the address from our records and from the tester list. We delete the list at the latest when the test phase ends.

4. Legal basis and purpose

We process this information to provide the features you use (leaderboard, chests, races) and to protect the service against abuse. The basis is the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and – where applicable – the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

5. Where is the data kept, and who receives it?

On a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Hetzner operates the server on our behalf and has no access of its own to the contents. Apart from the tester list (section 3a) there is no disclosure to third parties, no advertising and no profiling. Only your chosen name, your scores and your runs are publicly visible.

6. How long is the data stored?

Until you delete it. The website's abuse counters are deleted after 14 days.

7. Deleting your data

In the app: Menu → Options → “Delete my data”. This immediately removes everything the server knows about your device: name, scores, recorded runs, rating and your inventory (coins, cards, balls, chests).

Without the app: write to the e-mail address above and tell us your leaderboard name. We will delete the data within 30 days.

The progress on your device disappears when you uninstall the app.

8. Your rights

You can request information about your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to the e-mail address above. You can also contact the competent supervisory authority – in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Children

Fingerball is not specifically aimed at children under 13. The app asks for no personal details; anyone choosing a name for the leaderboard should not use their real name.

10. Changes

If features are added that need more data (purchases, for example), we will update this policy beforehand. The version on this page applies.

The German version of this policy is the authoritative one; this translation is provided for convenience.
